The work

Sizeaholic

Size and fit calculators, built on real sizing research.

Why it exists

This one started inside Calcaholic and had to leave. Working out a ring size, a bike frame, a bra band or the right length of ski is arithmetic, and arithmetic is what that site is for. The problem is that nobody standing there with a tape measure thinks the word calculator.

They think fit. They think what size am I. A tool nobody searches for is a tool nobody finds, however good the math is, so the math moved to a name people would actually reach for.

What we decided

  • It needed its own name

Splitting a working site costs you something, and we only did it because search behaviour left no choice. Money questions and body questions are asked in completely different words.

  • Real sizing data, not a guessed conversion table

Most size charts on the web are copies of copies. Ours come from published sizing research, and where the honest answer is a range rather than a number, it says so.

  • Nothing you type is stored

Body measurements are about as personal as data gets. They produce the answer on your screen and then they are gone, because there is no reason for us to hold them.

Nothing you enter is stored.
